Chellsea is the product of close to a century of international business success.

The Kishinchand Chellaram Group began its activities in 1916 when its founder, Shri Kishinchand Chellaram launched a small retail textile business in Chennai, India. Two years later, the company opened the doors of its first overseas office in Yokohama Japan, spearheading a series of international trading depots throughout Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Gambia. The Kishinchand Chellaram Group grew to be one of the leading trading houses in West Africa, Europe and Asia with over 50 branches across four continents.

Under the chairmanship of Lokumal K. Chellaram, the business diversified into dry-bulk shipping with the 1980 establishment of its flagship company Kishinchand Chellaram Maritime Agencies Ltd.

With a new structure under the chairmanship of Sham L. Chellaram, there was further expansion into the offshore marine logistics sector with the formation Chellsea in Singapore to specialize in  Platform Supply Vessels.

Backed by robust foundation, the company has posted industry beating performance throughout the biggest downturn of the Oil & Gas industry.

Under the chairmanship of Gautam S. Chellaram, Chellsea is focused on the offshore logistics segment and currently owns a fleet of modern PSVs with a plan for sustainable growth in both Oil & Gas as well as in Renewable Energy spectrum.
